Corcoran School: Past & Present
Gallery 102 and the Student Exhibitions Committee is proud to present Corcoran School: Past & Present. Mounted as an homage to both the past and present of the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design, the exhibition brings together the work of faculty, staff, alumni, and current students. Including painting, photography, sculpture, video, installation and ceramics, the show celebrates the range of talent and creativity that is ingrained within the soul of the Corcoran. The inclusion of faculty, alumni, and current students is a nod to both the evolution and genealogy of Corcoran’s presence within Washington, D.C.
With the addition of Theatre & Dance, Music, Museum Studies, Design, and Interior Architecture to the Arts & Design school, the potential for interdisciplinary and innovative work is palpable.
The exhibition was commissioned in conjunction with the inauguration of The George Washington University's 17th President, Thomas LeBlanc.
